The Umbrella Repair Machine is just one of the charming wheeled inventions that can be found in Rimski's Yard. It often features in Rimski & Handkerchiefs shows...

It was first presented as a full length play, with devising support from Paul Preston Mills.

Below is a clip from one of the early presentations (Camp Bestival, 2021).

Rimski invents an umbrella repair machine, but it's not ready. When Handkerchief assures a customer that their huge bundle of broken umbrellas will be fully restored and back to their original condition by the end of the working day, they have no choice but to give it a go... Handkerchief soon discovers what happens when you put other things (not umbrellas) through the machine! The story illustrates the importance of wisdom in the face of technological advancement. And how nature has a way of putting things right, in the end.
