Rimski's Yard is a haven of invention, with fascinating contraptions on wheels, and many playthings for visitors to interact with. They can also enjoy ongoing variety entertainment, from Rimski & Handkerchief and their plethora of special guests; with trapeze and circus artists, clowns, musicians and DJ's dropping by... Get your broken things mended in the Repair Centre, win prizes beyond your wildest dreams at the Tombola, and enjoy unusual variety seating, from the humble rocking horse to the very comfortable Big Bouncy Bed! With Rimski & Handkerchief's Travelling Homestead Stage at its heart, where the pair spin peculiar turntable art; you might also be thrilled by the Puppet Theatre DJ booth; additional main stage and many other sideshows and features. Every yard is built bespoke for each event, with all sorts of magical nooks and incredulous crannies to discover... With ongoing Performance Art from your hosts Rimski & Handkerchief, be it with Bicycle Piano & Double Bassicle, The Umbrella Repair Machine, Rimski's Pramophone, Handkerchief's puppetry, or perhaps interactive fun with the Silly-Go-Round. Rimski & Handkerchief also love to play on the big flying piano trapeze rig; a feature of our larger scale yard at Glastonbury festival.

Evolution
​Rimski's Yard was first established at Boomtown Festival, in 2014, with a small crew of (very cool) family and friends. In 2018 & 2019, The Melodrome Travelling stage Venue stepped in as collaborators. In May 2019, Rimski & Handkerchief created their Travelling Homestead Stage, which marked the beginning of a wider touring phase for Rimski's Yard, including the first year of Rimski's Yard Glastonbury (also in collaboration with The Melodrome). Due to the famous lockdown of 2020, touring had to pause, until a gentle re-emergence in 2021...

Since 2021, Rimski's Yard has been produced as a Rimski & Handkerchief creative partnership.
We are very grateful to our incredible crew, sometimes of up to 50 people... Noteworthy is Paul Preston Mills (pictured below with his bear, on Nigel) , our chief creative builder (also performer and DJ); and Pirates of the Carabina, beautiful circus performers, who also bring the trapeze rig; as well as many talented performer friends and family!
